I have a white down coat with white fox fur trim hood.Can I clean it the way I have always clean my down stuff

I would remove the fur trim if you can  - but otherwise use mild soap and wash ii in a super-size washing machine( they usually have them in a laundromat) but you will need to lay it flat on a clean table out in the sun to dry - put a couple of clean white towels under it and then turn the garment over a couple of times.

It will take a long time to dry, however if the sun if hot it should dry in a day.  Remember down is goose feathers and water-fowl are used to water - i would not dry clean it as the chemicals could ruin the down.

It worked for me.
