I have a whole empty summer ahead of me...?

and I'm already so bored.

Give me idea for a project I could do? Or something small that I could do multiples of.

I know you are probably going to say "get a job" and trust me I want a job so bad. But nobody will hire me. To make things short, I live around 3 towns, I put an application in everywhere and called each one back, but nobody wants me. I will keep trying though!

Anyway. I love crafts and stuff, if that helps. (Working with me hands)

Does anybody have any ideas of something to do?

I'm already going to paint my room and build a bookshelf, but the room will only take about 2 days depending, and the bookshelf 1.

So any other ideas...?

  1. If you want to make a little cash do yardwork or minor home repairs.

  2. check in your area and see if there is a habitat for humanity program... you can work w/ your hands and learn a lot of new skills and help someone less fortunate get the house they have always wanted! it doesn't pay anything but it's still rewarding! have a great summer! <3

  3. Start making your Christmas cards and gifts for the holidays.  Gather up buttons, ribbons, gimp, broken jewelry, old cards and wrapping paper to use as collage items for your cards.  Last year I made everyone a different ornament for their tree and they are inexpensive to make.  Just buy styrofoam balls in the 6 pack for $1.99 at the discounters.  You can cover them with glitter, buttons, fabric, shells, ribbons, feathers, all kinds of things and then use a ribbon and hook for hanging.  They are easy and fun to make.

  4. Volunteer. Most hospitals, churches & other civic groups are ALWAYS in need of people. AND you'll feel good about what you're doing too.

  5. Hello,,check out some craft ideas from Hobby Lobby,,maybe you could design something for the later holidays in the year and make a small fortune,,good luck,,maybe grow something good to eat !!

  6. I don't know if she still does, but my little sister used to get kits and build (and paint) some beautiful little bird houses.

Or you might consider learning to crochet and make yourself an afghan or two- and believe me, I have made and used many!

It's a little late to put out most vegetables, but have you considered making a garden, or growing stuff in pots if you don't have a yard?

    Good luck, and have fun!

  7. Plant a small garden to enjoy some fresh veggies.  If you don't want to eat them, donate them to someone. You might even be able to start a community garden if you are abitious enough and can find other volunteers.  You didn't mention your age, but a community garden would look great on college applications.
