  1. Restart your PC in safe mode with networking

Download, install and run a full scan with Malwarebytes

Run a full scan with Micro Trend House Call

After the scans, restart the PC and update your anti-virus, remember to only have one anti-virus installed on your PC

  2. your present virus software is probably compromised by the virus...

i recommend: go to Trend Micro "Housecall"

this way you can do a on-line virus scan.

  3. I've found the free AVG anti-virus program to be very reliable, and it's free for scanning and repairing infections.

Just used it to clean a nasty infection of the SHeur.CCOH trojan that was keeping me from running Internet Explorer and freezing programs (along with whatever else it was doing in the background that caused my CPU to spike).

  4. Try this guide, it's very indepth but very effective:

  5. Well as long as it's not an important system file then you could always just search and find the infected file and delete it manually. If search doesn't work then use the file location (Ex. C:\Windows\Fonts) that the anti-virus gives you for that file and enter it on the top of Windows Explorer (not Internet Explorer, Windows Explorer). Once you're there go and delete it manually. If that doesn't work go into safe mode and delete it and don't forget to clear out your recycle bin.
