  1. No it's not a sign of intelligence.

  2. If it is, you should be smart enough to know the answer to this!

  3. No, a widow's peak is not a sign of intelligence any more than it is a sign that a woman will live long after her husband dies, which is an old English superstition. It is an old wives' tale or a piece of folk wisdom that many people may believe to be true, but is contradicted by scientific evidence.

The widow's peak is a Mendelian inherited trait, which means that the trait is controlled by a single gene. It is not associated with any advantage in intelligence or mental aptitude, but many people do consider it to be a very pretty or  attractive trait.

People who have a widow's peak have at least one dominant allele for the trait. People who have one dominant and one recessive allele for a trait have a heterozygous genotype. People with two dominant alleles have a homozygous dominant genotype, while people with two recessive alleles (and no widow's peak) have a homozygous recessive genotype. If one of your parents does not have a widow's peak, you know that you have a heterozygous genotype because one allele is inherited from each of your parents (and the one without the widow's peak must have passed on a recessive allele). If both of your parents have widow's peaks, it is hard to say what your genotype for that trait is--it may be homozygous dominant or heterozygous.

    I hope this helps.
