  1. That's a REALLY REALLY bad idea.  If you share someone's network, say for instance, you enter your credit card number online because you want to buy something, they can access that information.  They can see EVERY single thing you do on the internet.  BAD idea.

  2. I had the same problem.  Luckily we are best friends with our neighbor so we are allowed to use their wifi.  But if your using connection from someone you dont know as well, then I would be careful spending money on wii points.

  3. As long as you have permission and are in range it shouldn't be a problem although the other person might suffer slow internet from it though. I would just get a Service Provider because the WiFi youd get might be horribly slow and not worth it.

  4. Yes, ofcourse; as long as you have their permission and they are okay with it (otherwise it is illegal)

  5. Yes, as long as you are in their range you should have no problem.

is illegal to use someone else network with out permission, but people do it anyways if that person does not has their network password protected they are just stupid.

  6. Before I had a wireless router, I used my neighbors internet signal for my wii. Our houses are connected so it gave me a pretty good signal.

Wireless internet does not cost more if another person uses it, it is a simple amount of money you pay per month. I did not ask them permission because we are friends and I knew that they wouldn't care.

They cannot track down what you are doing through there router so don't listen to that girl.

So I did this without permission and I was ok until I bought my own router. So you will be more than ok if you ask permission first.

So I would say go for it but remember that their signal may be too far away. A yellow colored connection is really not worth it because everything will be very, very slow.

Good luck and I hope I have helped.

  7. If you can figure out who it belongs to, you can have them come over and put in their password, just remember, they might not because internet costs money, and they might also set limits for how long you can be on.

  8. yes, you should run updates on it
