im lucky enough to have both and the 360 elite is the best choice i mainly use my ps3 for playing blu rays and ps2 games. The xbox has heaps more awsome games and live is soo much better than psn worth every dollar.

I recommend a PS3. The games on the PS3 will become a lot more advanced within the next few years. The PS3 also has almost no technical problems whatsoever and has free online. However, the 360 has a lot of technical problems, the games aren't as good, and you have to pay to play online. Even though the online for the 360 is better it's not worth all the extra money in the long run.

the games boddah mentioned are the only good ps3 exclusives ps3 will get for a year and a half, and only the earlier 360s have the overheating problem... but the xbox will be getting fable 2, left 4 dead, three new halo games and gears of war 2... not to mention all the other excellent multi-paltform games coming this season.
