idk if i should keep him, let him in my back yard, or take him back to my friends house where i found him and let him there. do u think he has a chnce of finding his family if i left him where i took him? but the thing is that the people that had his nest on there lawn filled up the nest with dirt(and idk what they did with the bunnys) so the mom wouldn't hang around there any more would she?

  1. I had a baby wild bunny that wasn't very old.  It was pretty small.  We couldn't find the mom because she hopped away after my dog ate one of the babies.  The bunny let us pet it.  We had in the box for about 1 week and my mom called the animal shelter so they came and got it.  I really really wanted to keep it because i want a bunny that i can keep.

  2. The longer you keep the bunny the less of a chance it will have in the wild don't worry about getting it back to the family they very seldom stick together anyway if you have a secure yard from predators and don't mind a few holes in the ground turn it loose in your yard just make sure it has water and maybe some timothy hay laid out once in a while to help it with the food thing and instinct should take over  but after two and a half months this rabbit is pretty well domesticated and should really be kept as a pet

  3. you've had him too long to be able to find his family now, he's too used to human contact, so you should keep him :)

  4. At 10 weeks, he can survive on his own.  He'd be best off let free in a safe place, where there are no cats left to roam loose.  He won't need his family, so it doesn't matter if they are around still or not.  They wouldn't recognize each other if they were.  In many states, it is illegal to keep wildlife confined, whether it be for pets or whatever reason.  See if your area has a wildlife rehabilitaion facility for advice for your state.

  5. u would have to keep him for sure he could not survive after being handled and fed by humans

  6. he will die now if you put him in the wild.

you should have left him there in the first place, or will now have to keep him, after 2 months, he wil be used to you ,and will die, or be killed in the wild now.
