no you may not ,it is designed to work the way it was built it won't work vertically............tom

There are ways you can frame around the outside of window so that you can attach the unit to that frame. Just attach unit securely to the new built frame and your off and running.

NO! All the oil will leak into the compressor and burn it up. find another window or get another air unit, trade with someone if you can, do a craigslist, (will trade)
