I have a yamaha pw 80 dirt bike, is there a way to find out what year it is?

I just bought it and I need to find out so I can get a owners manual.

Any help is appreciated....Thanks!

you can ask the person you  bought it from.that "might" work im not sure tho

The tenth digit in the seventeen digit VIN# tells you what year it is. Yamaha has it's own lettering system on top of that. For instance if your bike was a 1984 model it would be a PW80L, a 1988 would be a PW80U. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vehicle_Ide... has a basic breakdown of what all the VIN#s mean.

you should have aframe number up near the head stock on the frame,if not but you khow the model call up a yamaha dealer,you might have a number stamped on the motor just read that out to the dealer ship,if that all fail's take the bike in
