I have a yamaha pw 80 dirt bike, is there a way to find out what year it is?

I just bought it and I need to find out so I can get a owners manual.

Any help is appreciated....Thanks!

  1. you can ask the person you  bought it from.that "might" work im not sure tho


  2. The tenth digit in the seventeen digit VIN# tells you what year it is. Yamaha has it's own lettering system on top of that. For instance if your bike was a 1984 model it would be a PW80L, a 1988 would be a PW80U. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vehicle_Ide... has a basic breakdown of what all the VIN#s mean.

  4. you should have aframe number up near the head stock on the frame,if not but you khow the model call up a yamaha dealer,you might have a number stamped on the motor just read that out to the dealer ship,if that all fail's take the bike in
