I have a @ yr. old whirlpool washing machine.It won't give hot H2O.H2O is hot to the machine.Filter's clean.??

Yes. There's a 95% chance that the water valve is bad. The valve is the plastic unit that both the hot and cold hoses attach to on the machine's back. The unit has both solenoids in it. The part itself should cost around $30. If that's not the problem then it will be the temperature selector switch (could be a lose wire) on the panel where you select wash and rinse temperatures.
