I have about 15,000 baseball cards and need a way to inventory them. HELP!

I would like to have an online inventory of the cards...but how. I am open to suggestions.

  1. Microsoft Excel is very handy for things like this. You can make columns organized by position, and then put that into alphabetical order by last name. And also put the quantity in parentheses next to the name. There really isn't much of a quick way to do this, so it's best to take your time and make something easy to navigate. You can just post the document on-line. Bet they'll be worth something some day!


  2. i have a collection of about 45,000 and i manually alphabetized the cards. With so many players changing teams i ruled out sorting by teams and with so many different companies i ruled out sorting by brand, and with so many different years (1957 to 2000) i ruled our sorting by year, so i figured just alphabetically was best. Now, if you want to see my mickey mantles, i can go right to him in my "M" shoebox. Ya want i should show you my tony larussa and whitey herzog and my billy martin cards--of when those guys were PLAYERS?

  3. first get rid of doubles then sort them by team
