  1. I have done this as well. As it is a few spect, you could try going over it with a black biro/marker pen.fabric dye pen but there are different shades of black and you have to remember to do this every time you wash it.

I'm not sure that dye will work on the bleached area and give you an even pigment to match the rest of the garment. If it's a favourite dress, I would give it a try.

I have recently used the black Dylon machine wash dye (about £5 per pack from Woolworths, craft shops) and was very pleased by the results on a faded linen dress (the material was still in a great condition but the colour had been faded by washing) and a faded cotton tee shirt. Dylon say on the instructions that it works better on natural fabrics like cotton and linen rather than manmade. As this involves bleach, I think you can buy dye remover to try and get the whole dress surface 'uniform' before dyeing it. I would at least wash it first to remove the bleach.

    All the best with this.

  2. This may sound kind of cheesy, but I keep a black SHARPIE marker around for stuff like this.  Try it on the smallest spot and see if it's suitable.  I also use this method on black shoes that get scuffed.  Touch up the scuff mark, let it dry and then buff with shine polish.

    Good luck!

  3. if a fabric die pen wont try a black magic marker

  4. I did the same thing to a black blouse once.  I took a black Sharpie marker and went over the areas.  (If you can find a Rub A Dub laundry marker--they work best.)  It covered the brown spots and still looks good after MANY washes.  Good luck.  Don't feel bad about the bleach--it's an easy mistake to make.

  5. Yes.  In fact any permanent black pen will.

  6. depends on the fabric, but i'd dye the whole dress again, as there are many colours of black in dye x

  7. I once spilt bleach on a pair of cotton, navy pants so I disguised the spots using a dark blue ballpoint.  A black marker pen would probably be better for your dress.

  8. I would just buy a black permanent marker pen and use that

  9. I did the same thing over a year ago, and what i did was re-dyed it with a good make of dye, and so not to waste a largest packet i put in another skirt that had started to look a bit "sorry" for its self and a denim jacket and they all turned out lovely, so maybe that is what you can try the same thing, good luck.

  10. yeah or a black felt tip pen, tryed and tested.

  11. a basic black marker, thats what i use on my top

  12. Try a Rub-a-Dub laundry marker.  It is the marker that you use to write kid's names on their camp clothing.

  13. A Black marker should do the trick or if your creative and depending where the marks are how about decorating the dress with a flower or sequins only needs a single one scattered across I've done that on a dress that got burned
