I have accidently trodden Blue Tack into my carpet can it be removed without having to cut the carpet pile?

Would like to try Goo be gone but have never heard of it,where can I buy it?

Try using White Spirit first, if that does not remove it try some vinegar. Failing these two products then I don't really know.

try rubbing an ice cube over it and then hoovering it up.

Yes, give it a go yourself with a steamer\carpet cleaner solution.  If that doesn't work then try looking up carpet cleaners in the Yellow Pages.  They specialize in removing stains without dulling the colour of the carpet.
