I have acute pains in the middle of the back of my thigh? Why?

It's like a bug is biting me, and it's always in the same place, and it happens randomly. And it hurts. And I'm a Long Distance Runner. And It's been going on for maybe a week? It lasts for a second or two.

  1. Hmm....That's interesting.  It could be sciatica, caused by a herniated disc. That would be the sciatic nerve which runs down your leg hitting a part of your disc that's bulging out.  If it starts spreading, happening more often, or gradually geting worse, see your doctor.  You might need a referral to an orthopedic doctor.

    Hopefully it will just go away.  Let's just wish for that!  Being a Long Distance Runner could be playing a big part in this. So if it gets worse, see the doc.  Bummer, I know!  :(
