I am making stroganoff and added too much red wine vinegar - what can I do

  1. Add a touch of sugar,a teaspoon at a time until the balance is back. Good Luck!


  2. Baking Soda.

    Add a pinch at a time and stir- it will fizz for a second then stop.

    Continue until the vinegar is neutralized.

    Soda is the chemical opposite of Acid (vinegar)

    ps-don't forget the sour cream- it will put your strogie over the top!

  3. Adding sugar will cut down on the acidity of your sauce, taste as you go, so you won't put to much in!  Cheers!
