  1. Are you taking any medication???? That can be a side effect from certain meds. I had them really bad, so i went to the eye doctor. He told me that they are actually harmless, and usually mean nothing is seriously wrong. Mine turned out to be from the medication i was taking. It's actually a common thing, a lot of people get them. If you are worried, go get your eyes checked. There's nothing that a doctor can do for them tho. Good Luck :-)

  2. You really need to see an eye doctor if you have a lot of floaters as it could be a sign of something serious.

However, floaters are normally caused by debris building in the vitreous of the eye but it may be that you are having a vitreous separation. If non serious, the brain normally has a way of dealing with floaters but it can take up to 6mts. Basically your brain gets used to them and learns to ignore them

Go and see an eye doctor.

  3. There is only one way to eliminate eye floaters.  An operation called a vitrectomy.  Of course, like any surgery, there are risks, but for you the benefits might outweigh the risks.  The surgery is usually quite successful.  If you want more information come over the to the floater talk board:

And, here's a video from the Helen Keller Foundation:

  4. The only way to get rid of floaters is with a major surgery. Most retina surgeons will not do the surgery unless the floaters are debilitating. The risk does not outway the benefits
