  1. While you can apply for a visitor's visa while waiting for your K-1 to be processed, it will be difficult to convince the interviewing officer you're just tired of waiting and are trying to get around the K problem. However, if you can convince the officer that you're going to go to the US and that you will come back for the K, he can issue you the visa. As I said, that won't be easy. Plus, you'll have to convince the CBP immigration office at the US airport of the same thing. Just because you have a visitor's visa doesn't mean they have to let you in, and they won't if they think you're trying to immigrate illegally, which this  would be if that's your intent.

The attorney can't speed things up for you, although he should be able to ensure that everything is done correctly so there are no avoidable delays.

  2. - You can apply for any visa when other visa is in process.

    - No one can help you except the emergency condition(s).

    All the best

  3. Eligible countries, such as Western Europe, allow a Tourist Visa of 90 days to visit. Should you overstay that limit and are deported, any other visa you might have in process is invalidated.

An attorney would speed things up making sure all the paperwork is filled out correctly the first time. A lifetime residency with a fiance visa takes a long time to complete, however, when you receive the I-385 form announcing your application is in process, you can stay at least until a final determination of your case.

Count on two years time frame for a Residency, and you still won't have a SS number, a driver's license or a Green Card.

  4. sure you can apply for the B1 but it will be refused once they learn you are an intending immigrant. unless you lie on the DS156 and if you do when the K-1 comes up it can be denied for lying on the DS156.
