I am thinking of switching to DSL because cable is getting very expensive. Is the difference between their speed huge? Will it be noticeable if I turn to DSL? Cable is about 20 bucks more expensive, is it worth it???

  1. I never noticed a very big difference in speed between cable and DSL.  People talk about how cable internet gets clogged up at peak times, but I've never noticed this phenomenon...and I had my connection dropped more often with DSL!

A deciding factor for me was that, although my cable doesn't cost me any more or less per month than DSL, I don't have to keep a land line phone.  Both my husband and I have cells, so we really don't use the land line at all.  That saves me about $30 per month right there.

If you already have a land line, and you've done the math and DSL is cheaper, go for it! Otherwise, stick with cable.  Why rock the boat?  :-)
