I have always been curious about my uncles death records?

my uncle died in 1993 and i was wondering if anyone knew where i could get free death records/obituaries for this time in my area(ohio) that would help me out a great deal. Thanks!

  1. Often, obituaries will not list cause of death.  However, you can check the local library in the area he lived and died to view a copy of the local newspapers on microfilm to look for an obituary.  As far as death certificates go, most states will charge fees for a copy, just as they do for birth certificate.  It is a source of revenue for many states, so they are not going to provide them for free.
