Question:

I have always had betta fish, and recently bought one whose bowl constantly needs cleaned.

I am using the same food, dried blood worms as with my past bettas. He seems to enjoy his food. I have to clean the bowl about every 4 days, it gets cloudy and eventually smells after just a week or so. What is the deal?!

  1. A betta should be housed in a 5 gallon heated filtered tank not a bowl.  4 days is too long to leave a bowl uncleaned too.  A betta should live about 7 years if properly cared for.

  2. FILTER is the answer. get a five gallon for it and get a filter.
