  1. i hope this helps you some... :)

IS ANTIPERSPIRANT SAFE TO USE IF I HAVE KIDNEY DISEASE?

The FDA considers antiperspirants completely safe and effective. Otherwise, they would not allow them to be marketed. Aluminum is removed from the body primarily by the kidneys.  Thus, people with kidney disease may not remove aluminum as effectively. The FDA issued a ruling that requires all U.S. antiperspirants to carry a warning statement to make consumers aware that exposure to aluminum from antiperspirants might need to be discussed with their doctor. If you have kidney disease, we suggest that you consult with your doctor about the warning statement. For perspective, aluminum is from the food and water we consume and the air we breathe. Daily aluminum intake from food and water is thought to be much greater than exposure from daily use of antiperspirants or other beauty care products.

  2. Well, This is sort of random, but it turns out that the Minerals they put in Deodorant makes your Kidney Disease worse if you use it on your body.

    Hope this helps

  3. wow i have never heard that. but The risk to kidney disease patients is from the aluminum in most antiperspirants (and many medications also). Aluminum can be absorbed through the skin. Kidney disease patients are susceptible to buildup of aluminum in their bones. The buildup causes bone problems because the normal Calcium and Phosphorus balance in your bones is disrupted. I believe the warning was required by the FDA. That's about all I know, but I hope it helps.

  4. Antiperspirant and deodorant ingredients are not associated in any way with promoting kidney disease. The kidneys play an important role in allowing the body to rid itself of things it doesn't need. A consequence of kidney disease can be that the body struggles in this function.

One element that the body comes into contact with everyday is aluminium, which is naturally and abundantly present in food, drink and the environment generally. Generally speaking, aluminium is perfectly safe and is easily processed through the kidneys, but when someone has kidney disease their body can struggle to cope with it. It is for this reason that the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) enforces labelling on products like oral antacids which contain large amounts of aluminium. Antiperspirant ingredients only contain a small amount of aluminium (less than 2.5% of the amount that people come into contact with every day) and as a way of raising awareness of the dangers faced by kidney disease sufferers, the FDA has recently suggested that people with kidney disease talk to their doctor before using an antiperspirant.

  5. because the anti persperant has aluminum in the ingredientsts which would be.....bad for you.

  6. Because there's aluminum in it and it can be absorbed through the skin.  Without full kidney function it can build up and can be harmful. That's about all.
