I have an 02 explorer sport and i need 2 find the keyless entry code so i can change it where can i find it?

the truck was used so it never came with paper for the code and i dont want to have to go to the dealer and pay 50 bucks for nothing so please help

to find the original code you have to do to the dealer to get they have the only scanner

Download the owners manual for your explorer and it will step-by-step you through the process of changing your code

The factory-set code is located:

² On the owner’s wallet card in the glove compartment,

² Taped to the computer module, or

² At your dealer.

Not sure about 2002 models, but on 95-99 models, the module is mounted under the hood, high on the firewall, offset to the right-hand side of center.
