I have an 03 ford expedition WIth dropping gas mileage?

I have an 03 expedition that has lost fuel mileage over the last 2 years. Is there anyway to get to make it better. It is down to 9 in town and 16 highway.. it used to be 12 in town and 23 highway..... help gas is killing me

I'd suggest you get a new car.  If you get it tuned up and start maintaining it regularly and keeping the tires inflated properly, you may see a slight improvement, but it won't be substantial.  9 mpg is just absolutely ridiculous.  Trade it in.

Mileage will go down in cold weather.

O2 Sensors are going bad.  Check IAC Valve.

well check the air filter if its dirty get a new one, check the spark plugs if thier gunked up get new ones, and if that don't help, then because of the friggin price of gas its all in your head. basically, TRADE IN THE d**n GAS GUZZLER FOR A CAR!

how many miles on it have you done all the correct manitance on it have the oil been changed 5000 miles with a filter are the tires correctly inflated with the amount of air no jack rabbet starts doing the speed limit with speed and cruse control on the highway going the correct speed all the time what gas are you using exxon,shell etc sometime that makes a difference with manufactures also they are adding additives to the fuel all the time where do you live what part of the country find out from the gas company what they have added to the fuel cornoil etc change of seasons they also change things each company does this so if your changing to different fuels on fillups this might be a problem also ask for customer service call the factory customer service number and explain your problem and see what they say.check on ntsha.gov site to see if anyone else is having that problem hope these help happy new year
