The boat is an 18ft day cabin boat made of fibre glass. It is on a home-made trailer - this isn't in the best of conditions. I really want to get shot of it asap as we need our drive back. The tyres on the trailer are from a Mini and aren't able to keep inflation. The boat will have to be transported on a low truck or recovery type vehicle. We will live in Somerset so if anyone can help I will be really grateful.

  1. sell it on ebay ......if you feel guilty give the cash to charity

  2. If you just abandon it on a canal, British Waterways will remove it eventually.

  3. KEEP BRITAIN TIDY!

    dump your rubbish in France!

  4. If you just want rid of it try putting it on your local FreeCycle - see http://www.freecycle.org/

It may be just what someone wants and they'll take it off your hands.

  5. put it on craigs list in the free section.

Or call one of the charities that take cars and boats. They will come get it and you can write it off on next years taxes.

  6. put it on ebay.

  7. One quick way is to put it near the road w/ a sign that says

    "free boat"

Someone looking for a  "project " boat might be interested.

I recently donated a sailboat ( not in the best shape) to a charity ...online

It was auctioned off for more than I could have sold it for & the money went to a great cause.

Guessing Somerset is in the UK & pretty sure you will find boat / car donation sites that will take it .

Partial to the American Cancer & Leukemia societies ( hint) & certain there are similar  organizations in the UK.

If it is anything like the US , they will  take almost anything away & give you a receipt that can be used as a charitable tax deduction

Tax credit or not , its a good way to go.

    Best regards

  8. ebay it if you lived closer i would say i would take but hey im in oxfordshire boo hoo hope you have some luck which ever you decide.

  9. Give it to the local Sea Cadets or other youth group who may renovate or use it for training purposes.

  10. Why not sink it dear?

  11. What condition is the actual boat in?
