I was almost to work so I just pulled in. is this something that I will be able to drive home (30 min 20 mile drive) or should I try and find somewhere around here to take it to?

  1. The computer just found an abnormality. I think you can drive it to home and take it to your regular mechanic

  2. 9 times out of 10 it has something to do with emissions with Subaru, If the car is still running normal your fine until you can get into a Subaru repair center.  If your still under warrantee you have little to worry about, if its out, just let them check it, and see what comes up, and good luck.  As far as the gas cap....that wont trip on a Subaru.  I wouldnt worry too much all these new cars have a CEL light for everything.

  3. You can go to a local AutoZone or Advanced Auto, they will do a computer check for you for free. More often than not it will be your fuel cap or an O2 sensor. Good Luck.

  4. did you check the engine?

  5. try checking your gas cap make sure its on tight....if loose  this will cause engine check light to come on
