I have an 80hp blue band with forward control stuck in gear i cant get nuetral or reverse??

Check for a seized shifter cable. If seized it MUST be the same length as the old one.

there could be a set of nuts on the cable. they sometimes move from where they were. that changes where the gears shift, would have to play with to reset. that only on a few types of engines.
