I have an 89 Bass Tracker question?

Question

Right under the starter key for the engine, there is a small k**b. I have no idea what it does, but it does turn.

Any idea?

Most likely it is the CHOKE,  you would pull it out when starting a cold engine or one that has been sitting for a while.  Then once it starts push it back in.

High Speed Self Destruct Switch....never touch it while at full throttle.

it  might be for tension  turn it and see if its harder to move the throttle handle, thats so once you get going you can take your hand off the handle and it would stay there   checkitout
