A lot of AOL users do have problems with sending and receiving messages from Yahoo mail servers.  It is an age old problem and is up to AOL to correct it.

You can go to any Yahoo Group and click on the "Join This Group" button on the group's home page. Then follow the steps involved in the joining process.  Hopefully you will be able to receive messages sent from the group.

you should be able to get it no matter what. AOL isn't the problem, invites are glitchy no matter what e-mail services they're going to. very few ever get them

I have had AOL and used it with Yahoo groups for 10 years, never had an issue and I get invites all the time. the new AOL free mail is a different story- any free service glitches
