Question:

I have an Aleo Vera plant and some Mushrooms have started to grow beside it, is that ok?

should i Replant him, or put him in a new pot. Or are the mushrooms helping him?

  1. No harm done.  It just mean the room is high in humidity and moisture that is enough for the mushroom to thrive.  Just pull the mushroom out.  The aloe is fine.  


  2. I have never heard of mushrooms growing beside them I have mine in pots which i have a soild mixture of soil and sand cuz they r from the catus family but my advice would be repot in good soil . I use Miracle grow potting mix and I always repot my plants in the spring every year with new soil I even would recommend to clean ur pots if u have had another plat in it cause u never know what or if the other plant carries bacteria or diease's so I clean my pots with soap and bleach...Hope this helps..Sherry

The aloe is fine.  Just pull the mushrooms up and sift the top layer of soil around to make sure it's "cleaned up".  Mushrooms will steal a lot of the nutrients in the potting soil and plant food.  I get mushrooms from time to time in mine if I've kept the soil too moist over a period of time in the hotter days.
