I have an HP Pavilion 500 series.I cannot remember ever using the com port.Now that I need it. It appears to be dead.The biosis shows it active. I have tried a serial mouse, a joystick, and virtual weathers heavy weather software. I know it is not the software, because I plug it into my other computer, and it works.
