I have an Important question about my Eye ?

Alright yesterday i woke up and my right eye was sore and sensitive to light, it wasn't bloodshot, it also kind of hurt to move it around, ( I was sleeping with a very uncomfortable pillow and tossing and turning all night,)

my guess is I slept on my eye on accident.

today it doesn't really feel as bad,

and my vision seems fine,

But what I'm wondering is , if it will eventually recover?

  1. is it still sore and painful on moving it ?? are you still sensitive to light ??

edit : you didn't reply to me , but pedstal gave you the best answer [ as usual ] so if you still has anything to ask about e-mail me .

  2. If it's already improving, and there's no visual disturbance, there's little to worry about.

A minor dryspot on the cornea due to exposure will heal in 24-48 hours unless it gets infected.  If symptoms continue to improve, no action is needed.

If they fail to clear up completely in 3-4 days, or worsen at any point, seek medical advice.

  3. it probably will eventually. just take a warm washcloth over your eye and hold it there for 30 seconds. do this however many times you need to.

  4. Best option I think is to go see your eye doctor as early as possible. You can never be too safe when it comes to your eye :)

  5. It could be a corneal abrasion.  There are no blood vessels in the cornea.
