My ring keeps on deflating over night...But its so big that it's hard to find the holes. Have you had any success? If so, what did you do?

  1. Soapy water in a spray bottle works best...Spray the soapy water around the ring after you inflate it and the leak will make a soap bubble...Clean it off and patch with a pool patch kit.

  2. I used to have a small one like that. I bought it used from a friend, and it had a leak that was never found. Sometimes the air would leak so bad that the water would pour out.

So I went to Wal-Mart and bought some of those foam "noodles" and stuffed under the rim to help hold up the ring overnight. Then the next day I would air up the ring again. Hey, it worked for 3 seasons.

Some of those foam noodles may be too big to stuff under the rim. I wanted to try those foam water pipe insulators that can be found at Lowe's. You know, those things that are used to help insulate water pipes in the winter--but not the electric ones!  But summer isn't the best time to find things like that, and I could never remember to look for them in the fall.

Anyway, that's what worked for me. And, like I said, that pool lasted for 3 summers--air leak and all.
