I have an Ipod and I need to Synch it up to a new laptop.

I need to get the songs off the old laptop and get them onto the new laptop. What do I need to do?

I used the software called PC move. You just attach a cable to each computer and it transfers everything-photos, music, etc. It took a few hours but was really easy. Otherwise just click on "backup to disk" under the file tab and burn your songs to disks and then import on your new computer.
