I have an Ultra Cool swamp a/c on my house. Any tips on what I need 2 do 2 start it by myself??

I know I will need to replace the water pump. The pads, as I was told, were replaced already last year, and do not need replacing. Other than that, I need help and/or instructions on how to start it. Doing it on my own this year for the first time. Thank u in advance!

The pad (I think there's only one thick one on an Ultracool) should probably be cleaned with some kind of hard water deposit remover. Also clean all of the deposits out of the wet section with sponge/brush and fresh water. Clean or replace the pump basket. Lube the motor and fan bearings. Check the condition of the belt; replace if cracked. Tension the belt properly. Reconnect the water supply and check the adjustment on the float. Replace the float/valve assembly if necessary. Check that the pump is properly wetting the pad. Check that the motor is turning the fan properly. That should be it.
