I have an acting Audition coming up...any advice?

should i receive a monologue at the door. or remember a 1 minute monologue from a play. which will stand out more for the judges?

  1. I don't quite get what your asking for about the monologues but my advice is just to relax be calm and get plenty of sleep. When it comes to the audition just forget about everyone in the room and go for it. Drama is about making an idiot of yourself! I could answer more fully if you added more detail to your question but at the moment I think you should go for the second one as it gives you more time to practice and get it just right for when you finally do it.

  2. They do not generally give you a monologue at an audition, you need to have your own memorized.  If you expect them to give you one, that might stand out but in the wrong way.

  3. I would say, definitely memorize a monlogue. Not just for this audition, but for any other acting auditions you might get in the future. The auditioners will be impressed if you come prepared.
