I have an albino ferret. Do I have to sleep in the same room as him?

if I just turn the lights out and sleep in another room, is that okay?

  2. No you do not need to sleep in the same room as the ferret and he does not need another ferret to keep him company.

    It's actually good for him to have at least 8 hours of uninterrupted darkness at night so turning the lights off in his room and leaving him in the dark will be beneficial to him. Controlling his photoperiods (day/night cycle) will help to reduce the risk of some diseases. Just be sure the area (room or cage) he is in is safe for him as he'll wake up during that time and will want to p**p, eat, play - likely in that order. Ferrets can see fairly well in the dark so he will not need the lights on in that time.

  3. of coarse, as long as he has another ferret with him, other wise you should get one, or spend all the time you can with him, including sleeping, walking, trips into town(sometimes) ect...

  4. As long as something else is in the same room as him
