many types of ash are seedless.... yours must be, too... but this year, either because of some change in it's environment or health, it's decided to seed.... some trees do this when they are damaged and expect to die.... is your tree healthy?...

if you didn't know about the bug that's killing the trees, I hope you'll read those links and maybe gather some of those seeds to help keep the species alive..... thanks!....
