Each phone has a unique unlock code.

If you've finished out your contract with AT&T you can try calling up AT&T customer service and ask them for the unlock code for your phone.

I've had success getting the unlock code from T-Mobile but AT&T might be tough. I've found their customer service to be noticeably inferior. Good luck.
