Question:

I have an attorney handling my custody case. not happy with him and have not signed his contract can he bill .

my evidence with his declaration got me temp. custody on the first hearing. i'm not comfortable with him and am not sure what i'm to be billed after the $5000 retainer. i have not signed his contract yet. what am i liable for

  2. If he has performed services on your behalf - he can bill you for the services rendered.

    He helped you get temporary custody - you don't get that work for free.

  3. he can and will bill you for the bills that exceed the 5000 retainer. however, if you dont sign his comntract you probaly wont get much work out of him.  if you leave him, you lose the how 5000.
