I have an audition for a movie and i need help!?

Ok, i need a monologue, i have an audition for a movie, the movie is about a teenage boy whos girlfriend died, and she sang him a tape before she died and stuff. im not trying out for the main girl because i cant sing,, but i am trying out for a role, but the thing is im not gona know what role till they tell me! and if your auditioning for a speaking role, they said i need a 3 minute monologue. But i need help! what kind of monologue should i do??? any advise please?? or if you have a good monologue please tell me!! ooooh and any auditioning tips would be great too thanks!

  1. I agree completely with Theatre Doc.  Even a student film project has people read from the script.  If the producers wanted to see you perform something, they would have asked for a demo reel.

    But anyway, you really should have at least four monologues ready to go at any given time.  For this upcoming audition, go to a bookstore and get a monologue collection -- there are tons of them out there.  But peruse them before selecting one, so you can identify whether one or more will fit you.


  2. Pop in your fav movie, put the sub titles on and copy down your fav scene.

  3. never hear of needing a monologue for a part in a film Don't they have a script?  What move is this and who is producing it?
