well her bf lives in new york and they see each other only once a month

other than to avoid preggers, could there be any other reason she might be on it (im a guy and i dunno other than to prevent pregnancy is the pill useful for other things for girls?)...they see each other only once a month

but she takes it like every day..is it necesary?

she's 21 btw and we're seniors in college

  1. hormone control...it keeps periods regular and lessons the cramps and severity of it...its just a good thing..

  2. Aside from birth control, alot of women use the pill to control their peiods. One the pill, periods are often less intense and there is less cramping/pain.

Also, when on the pill, women can 'skip' a period. eg: They can go 2-3 months without having a period!

  3. she probably does it to skip her period, the chemicals in a BC pill, stop blood flow && cramps, soo thats probably why she takes it.

    =D

  4. well, she could skip some doses but usually she's supposed to take the pill everyday. but if they see each other once a month,....to save her money.....she could skip some.

  5. I take it because it helps cramps and other 'girl issues' that I'm sure you don't need to hear about...but there are other reasons other than just preventing pregnancy.

  6. Oral contraception does need to be taken every day.

It can be taken for many reasons, commonly to regulate periods and lessen period pains.

Why not ask her whatever it is you want to know?
