I HAVE BEEN ON EBAY FOR A FEW YEARS NOW..MY EBAY ID IS "WORKINGFOR$" AND HAVE A COMPLETELY NEW ISSUE AT HAND,I RECENTLY SOLD AN ITEM.AUCTION # 260244236590..BUYER WAS FROM SOUTH KOREA..ID NAME.."9gkfk".LOW FEEDBACK BUYER.I WAS RELECTANT TO DO BUSINESS BUT AGREED SINCE HE WAS THE WINNING BIDDER. BUYER INFORMED ME THAT HE DID NOT HAVE PAYPAL AND WOULD LIKE TO PAY VIA MONEY ORDER.HE SENDS THE MONEY ORDER.IT IS A GOOD MONEY ORDER..BANK CASHES IT WITH NO PROBLEM..AT THAT TIME I SEND THE ITEM.APPROX JUNE 14.NOW THE BUYER IS CLAIMING ITEM NOT RECEIVED AND HAS OPENED A DISPUTE AGAINST ME.IT IS POSSIBLE IT IS AT KOREAN CUSTOMS.I DO KNOW WHERE THE ITEM IS NOW..I SHIPPED IT VIA REGULAR MAIL.I DO NOT HAVE TRACKING AS I WOULD HAVE HAD TO HAVE USED EXPRESS MAIL FOR THAT OPTION AND IT WOULD HAVE COST ME OVER $ 75 TO SHIP VIA THAT METHOD..SO I JUST SENT IT PRIORITY MAIL.SO NOW WHAT CAN I DO..I HAVE NO NEGATIVES OF LATE AND ONLY 3 NEGATIVES TOTAL EVER WITH OVER 1800 TRANSCATIONS TO DATE.I DO NOT WANT TO REFUND AS I DO NOT HAVE THE ITEM IN HAND ANYMORE.WHAT OPTIONS DO I HAVE.WHAT CONSEQUENCES DO I HAVE TO DEAL WITH IF BUYER ESCALTES CLAIM TO EBAY TRUST AND SAFETY.I HAVE SOLD MANY AND PURCHASED MANY HIGH TICKET ITEMS WITH NO PROBLEMS.THIS IS AN ENTIRELY NEW ISSUE TO ME..YET I DO NOT WANT TO JEPORDIZE MY EBAY ACCOUNT AND MY GOOD STANDING..POST OFFICE INFORMED ME IT CAN TAKE UPTO 6-8 WEEKS FOR ITEM TO GET TO DESTINATION..BUYER IS BEING IMPATIENT AND THREATING TO ESCALTE MATTER TO EBAY TRUST AND SAFETY TEAM (I DON'T KNOW WHAT THAT TEAM IS )..SO BASICALLY WHAT ARE MY OPTIONS NOW..BUYER IS IN SOUTH KOREA.. PAID BY MONEY ORDER AND HAS NOW OPENED A DISPUTE AGAINST ME..PLS HELP..

  1. Because the buyer paid you with a money order, eBay does not have the ability to require you to refund the buyer.  If the buyer chooses to escalate this dispute to Trust and Safety they will log it, but will not necessarily act on it unless there is a trend of this kind of activity since it is basically the buyer's word against your's.  So if this is the first time you've had this issue like you stated, you have nothing to worry about.  Your 98.7% Positive feedback will speak for itself.  The worst thing the buyer can do is file a legal dispute with you, but its doubtful the buyer will come all the way to California to pursue that option, the plane ticket alone will more than likely cost more than $455.  If you have any future questions, don't hesitate to ask.
