I have an 110 electric hook up for my dryer in my apartment. I just received a stackable unit but im not sure if its an electrict. It has 3 prongs so i think its the correct 110. But how do I tell if its electric or gas?

Thanks!

  1. If the cords' prongs will fit into a "normal" 120 volt outlet, (15 or 20 amps)  it's probably gas.  Gas dryers still have a cord to run the controls and run the motor to turn the drum.

If the cord has large prongs, slightly angled, and one shaped like an 'L' ,  it's probably electric (as the cord is 30 amps, 220 volts)

Or their should be a label just inside the door, that has the info.
