I have an electric like shock sensation that starts in my neck and shoots all the way down to my leg.

It usually happens when I'm lying on my right side and only does it on my right side. I can also feel the muscle jerk in my neck when this is happening. Any suggestions on what this could be would be great.

Your electric shock sensation in your neck could be a pinched nerve, if you have injured your neck in any way, this should be checked out by a physician as soon as possible and the fact that you have muscle spasm's, that is the jerking feeling in your muscles,  is not something you should ignore or just get an answer too. So my advice to you, is to seek medical care with family Physician or  Chiropractor. In the mean time don't lye on right side  and try cold compress or heat which ever eases your symptoms.

lay down and put your right arm above your head then stretch your toes toward you as far as you can. repeat several times. this will help pull the muscles and release the tension. sometimes you are tense and the nerves are compressed. good luck if it doesnt help of course see a dr
