  1. I own a recording studio, and don't usually answer questions in this category, but thought I would jump in on this one.

If you are using a crossover for your subs, then you won't need it there.  The EQ will work best when used on the mids to highs, and in your case would be either the front, or rear outs.  Since the mids are the toughest to control, and most 2 and 3 way speakers usually has their own crossover to control the tweeters, it leaves the mids as the ones that need some type of equalization.  You will probably find the front speakers will need the most control, so try it on both the front, and rear to see which gives you a better sound.  A lot will also depend on the power you are pushing to them.  Remember, the mids is what will sound ratty when putting a lot of power to it.  Set your EQ to look like a W on the graph, and fine tune it from there.

Glad to help out, Good Luck!!!

  2. I agree. Use your rear output. Some deck units tune there channels (front) mids and highs, (rear) lows, mids and highs,(subs) lows by using an internal crossover. So by using the rear outputs you'll have at least the most full range sound for the eq that your deck unit will produce.

  3. in order to use an equalizer with an aftermarket stereo you also need to have at least a 200 watt amp to run your speakers like the two on your front doors and the two on the back of the car , so  if you already have that all you need to do is connect either one  FRONT OUT/REAR OUT  because you only have one input in your equalizer ,now if you want to or if you are trying to connect the equalizer for your bass wich would be like 12" MTX  with a 800 watt  MEMPHIS AUDIO AMPLIFIER  , in this case all you do is connect the two RCA cables to the output of the amp .

  4. It would be the sub.

  5. rear out put

  6. just use the front or rear. dont use the sub because the head unit will only send a sub signal to the EQ.
