I am a US citizen who is 20 years old. In 2005, I was issued a one-year limited validity passport, and obviously it expired now. When I send in my reapplication, do I need to send in my Birth Certificate or just the application? The message attached was "This passport expires on Mar 16 2006. Extension of validity may be approved under 22 CFR 51.41." Thanks!

  1. All you have to do is stop by the post office and fill out the required document, paid the fee and turn in your old passport.  A new one wil be mailed back to you

  2. You will need to see site below for all renewal info. Don't beconfused by the info on the passport card...it can only be used for LAND or SEA travel to Mexico, Canada,Caribben...you need a new passport book.
