the extension in my room connects to my computer and the other one is connected to my telephone unit (cordless phone).(i bought a wire that can connect all of them).i wanted to add another unit (a corded phone) but when i connected it,everytime the phone rings it doesn't make a full ring, only half ring then nothing.(but i can still answer the phone and the person calling is still on the other line).my question is,why does it only make a half ring when i added another telephone unit?

  1. because it doesn't get enough juice  (volts) to make a full ring!!  you can buy a ringer amplifier  at Radio Shack!!

  2. the phone that you pluged in that caused that 1/2 ring is defective... throw it out the window and get yourself another phone...

  3. one is the phone that is doing a half ring could be bad. if it is new. return it to the store and get a new one.
