I have an iPod charging plug but the connection is not USB, what is it?

it is larger than a USB with a slightly pointed end. Does anyone know what cable its for?

Yeah, that's a FireWire cable.  They used to be bundled with iPods before USB took over.  iPods now will work with either one.

idk what kind of charger that is but i would jus buy a new charger
