what if you took a turbine jet engine, and instead of feeding the engine gas from the fuel tanks, it sucked the air(oxogen) from the front of the turbojet where the fan is, filtered only the pure oxogen from the air, then when it's 2/3 through the jet the oxogen got compressed in a compressor. After that stage it was ignited with a igniter and blasted out of the turbine giving thrust.

  1. Fire requires, fuel, oxygen and ignition.  Oxygen supports combustion but in itself is not Flammable.

    Filtering oxygen from air as you say is a function of oxygen generators.  This task in the quantities you require would be a bulky and costly process.



    You would be better off to concentrate on a hydrogen powered engine.  Who ever can come up with a cheap means of extracting hydrogen from water will revolutionize our energy requirements


  2. Oxygen (not oxogen) doesn't burn. So you can't "ignite it..."

    Aside from that one teensy weensy little problem, great idea.
