I have an idea for my bedroom, do you think it could work?

I would like to either paint or wallpaper one wall black (but my mum says I cant paint it so I think it'll have to be wallpaper) with the other three walls white. The accessories would probably be red, black and white, although most of my furniture is wooden and cant be replaced.

  2. I can see why your mum has chosen to go with wallpaper, as black paint will be really hard to re-paint, lol.

With the wallpaper you can pick one with a pattern on it so you've got more choice!

    The room will work!

Wooden furniture goes with everything :D

Just get the right accessories to make the room work.

LOTS of cushions for you're bed, pick ones with different textures, silky ones, fluffy/soft ones, plain & patterened ones.  Try and get a variety.  Maybe a cream/white rug as the red & black will make the room quite dark so it will brighten up the room.

Choose different coloured curtains to the wall they will be on, e.g. if the wall with the window is on is red, don't get red curtains.  Put pictures on the walls as well.

Hope some of this helps & makes sense.

    Good luck <3

  3. I think in Bed Room Black colors is not desirable think about other shade matching with your furniture.

  4. i like pink

u dont think that would be a little dark for ur bedrom??

likemcolors affect your mood and black is kinda depressing

  5. I think it's a great scheme!

I would stick with the colours you mentioned, if you introduce any others it could clash or run the risk of looking childish/tacky.

As already mentioned I would update your wooden furniture though (although it does depend on what type of wood). Paint it back as white will mark easily and then update drawers with new door k***s - they are so cheap and instantly add glamour and to any piece of furniture.

Here's just a glimpse of some of the options you have:

With all the other walls white there is no chance of the room looking too dark or gloomy.

There are some amazing black wallpaper's out there. Here's some examples:
